Rain, rain... go away.

Indonesia has two seasons: hot and rainy. When I first heard that, I thought it was some kind of joke I didn't understand. It's not. (Unless, I mean, I still don't get it.) For six months of the year, the weather is hot hot hot and dry dry dry. The other half of the year, roughly October - March, it rains.

This is the view from outside my house. I'd say it rains like this for at least two hours every day now. It's not terribly hard, but it's enough to make me want to stay inside. And it usually takes out the power. On the other hand, my water hardly ever runs out during the rainy season like it did all the time during the hot season.

Holding a camera steady has never been my forte.

If you're safely inside, it really creates kind of a nice sound to listen to.

  1. You're right, it is soothing (and wet!). Sounds just like one of those sound machines. You should set up a recorder then try to sell that sound for big money!

  2. I soooo miss rain like that (I didn't get any this summer in San Francisco). How is it riding a motorcycle when this is happening?

Now that the video works so well... take us on a video tour of your house!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!!
